Which Rental Car Company?

Our easiest to use are: Hertz / Dollar / Thrifty.

No matter what city or airport location that you rent it from, we add up here for Monday to Saturday.

We need it by 11 am. on Saturday, for Sunday/Holiday tasting days.

As their local office is closed Sundays and Holidays.

We can also add locally to an Avis, Budget or a National Vehicle Rental Contract.

For an Avis and Budget Vehicle:

You will need to go in to their closest office, to get your driver signed on to your contract. Either in the towns of Napa and Santa Rosa or at the Santa Rosa Airport, north of Santa Rosa.

For a National Vehicle:
They have offices at the Airports Only.  Santa Rosa ( The closest ) and at SFO/OAK/SAC.

It must be done in person at a counter, before the driver can drive for you.

If you need to sign on the driver before your day?

You would either need to go to the Local Area office for a meeting fee of $45,
to meet a driver there before your day.

Or, for a meeting at the OAK/SFO/SAC Airports it is a $90 Fee. for when you arrive.

There are no:

Alamo, Fox, Sixt, Payless, Advantage or smaller rentals up here.

It will require a SFO/OAK/SAC Airport or City location meeting with your driver. To add them on to your contract. Your driver would have to meet you when you arrive. It is a $90 fee, to meet your driver at one of those the airport/city locations.

If it is not one of those companies above?

We can use others.

It would require an Airport Meeting with a $90 Fee, to add your Driver Provider.

Exceptions:

We cannot use Enterprise or Ride Shares.

To be able to drink in the vehicle and have no insurance worries.

All Rental Car Companies have a policy, that requires all additional drivers be signed on to the contract to have Permission of Use and to be covered. Both the Renter and Additional Driver must be present at one of their offices.

You can rent anywhere you wish. It may require an Airport Rental Car Office meeting to add your Driver Provider to your contract. As not all have offices up here is the wine country.

If an an Airport/OAK/SFO meeting needed? There is a $90 Fee. 

To avoid needing a Special Meeting?
Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty are our preferred Rental Car Companies to use.
Only for the ease of adding your driver. We can use Avis, Budget and National as well.

Adding Locally the day of ( In Napa or Santa Rosa. ) is Free.

Please read the below individual Rental Car Company Information, to determine which is best for you to use.

INSURANCES

You will need their full coverage insurance as well, to be sure that the Hired Driver is Covered.
This is their Comprehensive/Collision with Liability.

These other forms insurance may work?
Not Always The Best For Rental Car Insurances.

A combination of the rental company's Liability and your CC's Comp/Collision coverage insurance?

It may only cover you driving and not a Hired Driver.
Check with the CC Company please.

Or, your personal full coverage insurance?

It too may only cover you driving and not a Hired Driver. If it does Cover Fully? You will always have to be in the Rental Car, when the Hired Driver drives it anywhere.
Check with your Personal Insurance as they vary a lot.
You will need to have Proof of this Coverage in the Rental Car. 

For ALL 3 ways. You will need to have this all on, for the duration of your rental.
